... I wanted to get an aftermarket alarm for my GS. What suggestion do you experts has for me? What about the Clifford Avant Guard 4? I saw an ad online on sale for $540 the system alone. Should I buy it and install in myself? Or should I bring it to the "professionals" to have in installed?

Before I got my GS, I had a Honda Accord with the AvantGuard 3 setup. I had a professional install it and I'm glad I did, because a couple of times, I had some of the sensors give out on me, and they replaced them and reinstalled them for me for free. I think the AvantGuard4 that you want comes with the G4 technology where you can hook it up to a computer and it will tell you if there is anything wrong with the alarm. If you are extremely qualified and had experience installing this alarm, then go ahead, but I suggest that you go to an authorized Clifford Dealer (which can be found on the clifford site) and get it installed there. I also believe that the alarm does not come with instructions on how to install it. Only authorized Clifford dealers have access to those. But i'm not sure, so check it out!!!
