Default RMM

I thought RMM only has the strut bar for the 400.

the RMM bar WILL fit the GS300. But I think the engine cover on the 2000 and 2001 models have to be removed.

TRD bar will NOT fit the GS300. You'll need spacers, and there's no gurantee that after using spacers the bar won't hit the hood when closed.

JURAN also makes a bar that'll fit on the GS300. It's a Japanese company, and I don't know where we can get one here.

I thought TRD would fit on GS300. Sorry for the misinformation.

With regards to the juran strut bar, do you also need to take off the engine cover?

I don't know but I believe so. I think with the engine cover on, the cover touches the firemat on the hood. That sucks.

Also, the GS300 cover is ugly anyways, I have mine off.

When you remove the engine cover, will the noise increase? My friend told me not to remove engine cover if I would like my car to remain quiet.

The engine cover muffles about .001 dB of sound so I don't think it'll make that much of a difference.

The only reason I would keep it on is to keep some dirt off the engine. But then none of the parts under the cover is likely to get dirt into the engine running cycle so I'm pretty confident about having mine off. Plus, I prefer seeing mechanical parts over a nice plastic!

Question Reasons for strut bar????

I have a 1992 SC300 and was thinking about getting a strut bar. What is the purpose of a strut bar exactly? I am just starting to look into performance mods and have seen lots of modified cars w/ the strut bar.
