Hello,
I just purchased a 2000 GS300, platinum edition in Crystal white with 44k miles. It is a nice car. I love the handling.
Any suggestions or comment on this particular model? I heard its very very reliable. My mother owned a 95 ES300 and she didn't have much of an issue.
Thanks for your help!
I am excited that there is such a nice forum for Lexus lovers.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
T.I.W. - there is nothing unique about my GS300 (and i don't have pics yet). Its a 2000 Crystal White GS300 Platinum Edition. I got it as a CPO and i have to admit - it pretty much mint. The stock preminum sound is not bad, I spent $1.5k on my old 4 door integra and it was almost there in sound quality. BTW I like your Keira Sig block! What did you think of her in King Arthur?
I have a general question - for those who have a stock 98 (as least the interior). Does the car exhibit any rattles or noise after a while? I live in San Jose and the 101 is rough on any car.
Also where can I get a replacement black chrome emblem for cheap? Mine has a slight chip on it

Just curious how much did you pay for your ride, if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks for the advice, GS4FUN.
I am practical in driving and play it safe - sometimes too safe
I did hit the rev limiter once or twice but i didn't go much faster than the 50 mph. As an mechanical engineer, I really appreciate how the car is designed. It is very functional and well thought out and designed just right. Indeed "pursuit of perfection" is no lie.

Hmm...All I can say is pray your A/C Compressor doesn't go out... For some reason, many people I know, including myself, have had the damn thing freeze on us... Big $$$ fix-it...

Hmmm.. i guess i shouldn't use my AC? hahahaha
Thanks for the warning. I'll keep that in mind. I pray it goes out in before my 3 years is up.
So when did your compressor go bad?
