Selling the GS4, need advice
Well, I broke down and bought a Chrysler 300C. I know you all are going to hate me, but for what I need it is a better car than the GS4. I love the car, but I can't keep both. I need some advice on what to do about selling it. Here is the list of what it has (I know I wont get all of my $ out of it, but I should be able to sell for more than stock, right?)
1998 Lexus GS400
135,000 miles
All maintenence done by Lexus of Stevens Creek
Suspension/Handling
19" SSR GT3 Wheels
245/35/19, 275/30/19 Bridgestone Potenza SO3 Tires
JDM Espellar Springs
L Tuned Shocks
L Tuned Steering ECU
TRD Racing Front and Rear Sways Bars
TRD Front Strut Tower Brace
Stereo
All Focal components inside
2 JL 300/2
1 JL 500/1
Single JL 12W6V2
Custom Trunk setup (all components displayed, plenty of trunk space left)
Monster Capacitor
Body
Jade Green Body with
L-Tuned Side skirts
Front TTE Lip
New style grill - all chrome
Custom Green Tinit on all windows
Factory style spoiler
Chrome rear trunk bar (over license plate)
New style (green tint) headlights
Smoked rear tail lights
Performance
Precision Industries Torque Converter
Borla Exhaust
K&N FIPK (not yet installed) ---> I was modding right until I bought the Chrysler
What do you all think is a fair price to ask. I am not in a hurry to sell, but I don't drive it anymore, so I really want it to go to a good home. Please help me, Thanks
Chris

I would prefer to sell it as a whole becuase everything works so well on it, but I still owe $15K on it, so if I can't get at least that, ,then I will have to part it out. That is why I want to see what someone would pay for it, ,and/or what I should sell it for.

putting the car back to stock would be the best. you can sell the aftermarket part for additional money.
the only negative thing i see with your car is the high miles.
see what your local area is selling gs400 for and do a kelley blue book request. this will get you into the ball park of how much to sell your car.
you will lose bigtime keeping all you modifications or it's fine with you.
i know it's a lot of work putting your car back to stock.
i know there are a lot of buyers who wants some of your aftermarket parts.
keep us posted if you are going to sell your aftermarket parts.
another idea is to see if someone locally wants to swop their stock parts plus cash for your stuff. have them do all the labor.

I agree...I understand its a PITA to part out, but truthfully you'll end up in much better shape that way.
Besides, no one buys a car already modded-because then the buyer wonders if you raced it, etc.... plus also mods are a form of personalization and everyone mods differently per their own tastes, needs, etc...

You will not be able to sell your modded car to an Average Joe. Joe will think you abused the crap out of it. Think about it. Who really wants to buy this car? Most likely a middle age man. This middle age man most likely will not want a modified ride.
You best bet (and to your financial advantage), is to part out all the aftermaket parts and sell them here in the classifieds. Looking at your mods, those won't take long to sell.
After that, list your car on cars.com or Autotrader.com and you'll get better results.
Good luck!
