Its that time where I need to buy a new car...

I am looking for something that is fast out of the box but something that I can mod and play around with...currently I drive a SLK 230 Kompressor (yes I know its not the greatest car in the world) and I love its SC....

so would the GS300 be better or the GS430? Or even a LS430?????

GS430 is the fastest when you compare a stock GS430, LS430 and GS300.

If you have the $ and don't plan to do FI, GS430. I'm not saying FI is impossible, it is just not as available like the GS300.

If you want FI, go for the GS300.

If you plan on modding more exterior stuff, go for the GS430.

If you want to have an ultra comfy, cushy ride, go for the LS430.

P.S. I got the GS300 instead of the GS430 is because there was no 2004 GS430 Blue Onyx with the NAV and Mark Lavinson System.

I would say GS300 so you get better gas mileage, UNLESS you have a need for speed...

If speed is your concern, definitely go for GS430. I've driven both 300 and 430, the 430 is way faster than 300 but it does have bad gas mileage. Even an 03 v6 accord can beat gs300 easily..hehe
In terms of luxury, both are the same.

GS430 all the way-Pulls twice as hard as 300 and is still quiet and smooth(Actually smoother than GS300)

If 300 HP doesn't sway you nothing will.

GS430 all the way. I bought a GS300 last year, only because it was a Sportdesign with Saddle leather interior, and traded it for an '04 Acura TL 7 mos. later. I-6 engine is extremely smooth but just not enough pull. Love the TL but will probably trade for '06 GS or M45 next year. GS430 is a great car but due to be updated in early '05.
