Guys I have a 98 GS3 and the lenses were slightly hazy. Bought some of this stuff- Meguairs Scratch X- and All I can say is WOW..

For eight bucks .... this stuff took years off the lenses. I followed the directions word for word ... and I am very pleasantly suprised. Use the stuff just like wax pretty much.

Like I said before .... very much worth the price of admission.

ScratchX is the most effective way to remove fine scratches and swirls from automotive paint by hand. This product is guaranteed to deliver the finest results possible by hand (some scratches require removal by machine applied professional formulas). ScratchX removes surface contaminants, oxidation and blemishes as well as enhances paint color. Unlike many paint correction formulas on the market, ScratchX will not leave more scratches than it takes out. It's ideal for use as a quick touch up or to revive a car's entire finish.

Just about any auto parts store (even Wal-mart and Target) sells Scratch-X. Cost is around $5 to $6.

Yup scratch X does wonders on body paint.

I tried to do the outside of the lenses, but it didn't do much. I might have to do it from the inside.

HOw would the scratches be on the inside of the lens, think about it, it has to be on the outside. A detailer has told me to use a glass polish and a power tool to buff out lens scratches.

Remove the bulbs, and use a towel wrapped and taped around a coat hanger or something similar. Its too dangerous though so I haven't triend it.

This contraption should look like a Q-tip that you use to wipe the inner light housing. I'm too worried about the coat hanger making its way through the towel and doing more damage to the housing that the condensation did.

I'm not sure about your headlights on my 98 there is a reflctor in front of the bulb so you cant rally stick anything into the lens once the bulb is removed.

well i dont know much about scratchx but from what i can infer is that its probally a oxidizing wax marked up and filled into a tiny bottle. something a little cheaper 5.xx bucks and does wonders on headlights and scratches on paint is 3m oxidizing wax.
