Default Approx $400 for Bilstein front and rear shocks - Is this a good deal??

Hi Everyone-

I've had a set of Eibach springs sitting in my garage for the past two months and I've been looking for a set of Bilstein shocks to get installed with the springs.

Are these shocks on eBay a good deal? Are they even the right ones for a GS application?

rear front

Good? Bad? Ugly?

Please drop some knowledge my way.

Clifford

I think. Not sure because I can't get to my e-mail right now. Proxy server is dead

Price sound right.

Just make sure that you have a competent installer put them in with the new springs.
Heard of a lot o horror stories on this board about springs not seated correctly or just in general suspension was not installed correctly. Spend the time to research the place that will do the install.

Also first year you should do a lot of alignments as the springs and shocks settle.
Depending on how much you drive the car…maybe after the first one thousand miles.
It’s a given you will need an alignment immediately after the install.
Otherwise you will wear your front inside tires really bad.

I had my setup for four years now and I LOVE IT. It is the first MOD along with new rims that I did. The car drives like it should. Sporty yet still quite luxurious.

EDIT proxy server is back up!

Bilstein Sport shocks

Front: BE5-2802 $104.30 x 2
Rear: BE5-2803 $118.30 x 2

Eibach Springs

Pro Kit Lowering Spring
8255.140 $290.59

Keep in mind these are prices from 2000

You know.... I was just thinking about this thread.

Do we have a location on this board where all the possible parts, prices
(average) and part numbers are listed.

This would be so much easier then having to look through 50 hits when you do a search on Bilstein and Part.

It could be broken down into:
Exterior Parts Body kits, lights, wings, Etc.
Suspension Parts, springs, shocks, coilover, breaks, wheel offsets.
Motor parts, ColdAir Intakes, OEM Plugs part#, Filters parts#,

Wheels and Audio would be quite hard but all the other stuff would be specific to 98-04 GS.

Just a though.

Default good idea... but i'm not a moderator... i can't do anything...

I think it would be a good idea.

just get a list of cars- and then a chart of applicable mods that can be applied to each one- each listing would be a link to a picture of it or a DIY on how to implement.

would be a fantastic resource.

I was just looking at those less then 20 minutes ago. I was thinking about pairing these with my Intrax springs.
