You know you can't just buy CLK mirrors and install them on your GS and expect it to work, right? You still have to graft them onto your stock GS mirrors or make a whole new mould based on the CLK blinkers from fiberglass.....

....not an easy job. I think Gamma ended up paying over $600 just to make his Win side blinkers fit right. Mine's a new mould from fiberglass, and I used the S-class blinkers and I was paying pretty close to what Gamma paid to get it done right.

That's what I thought too.

All CLK / Mercedes mirrors are custom made for our car I thought. I'm not counting the TOM's since they are not using Mercedes blinkers.

If there is a bolt on let's hear about it.

I'd be next in line for those.

Nah, there's no bolt on available. All the bolt-ons are for RHD cars like mine and it won't line up right with your USDM cars. You could send me your mirrors and I could do the job from here though, shouldn't be too much trouble....

$ talks Jon. How much? Haha. I don't even know how much shipping would be to justify sending it out.

Well the side blinkers from the benz dealerships are like $250/pair. Then I have to ask the shop how much they charge to do the cutting and remoulding of an original side mirror cover.

All I really need is an original set, everything else can be made from subsequent mould....

And please, don't send me 6-7 sets of US mirrors, I don't think they fit in the mailbox hahahaha.

Well theoretically yes, but there are a lot more things involved other than just making a mould and grafting the blinkers into the new mould.

I got power folding mirrors. That was my biggest problems when my mirrors were done the first time. The new cover rubbed against the mount causing it not able to close at all. It took 3 tries, 2 new moulds, a lot of sanding and refitting and 3 weeks before we finally got it down to perfection. Now it works perfect. But man, I really don't want to go through the ordeal again if I don't have to.

Do you guys in the US have power folding mirrors?

I could have sworn I saw them on the viptuning.com page before and I just visited the page again and there seems to be much less stuff on the page. Or maybe I'm thinking of some other site. I'm losing my mind

No Jon...no folding mirrors here...only on the MB's which I think only consists of the S-Class.....In some states...like New York...we need it!!! everywhere you go...you have to park on the street....It would be great if we can get these to fold in and blink as well!!! I've wanted this for some time and I've never seen anyone here in the states with the foldong mirrors....Only a few CL members have done the blinker conversion....
