Default gs 300 bottoming out

i have a 99 gs 300 with a win style kit on my car.if i have another person in my car hit a little bump onthefreeway i bottom out the kit.or i was going aroud a curve a little fast and my side skirts scrape. if i have people in the back forget about it.it seem that i bottom out the kit all the time with stock sus on. i would like to lower it but dought it can be done the side skirts are cracked also the back cover. that will all be coming off. but is it the kit or my sus.i only have 72000 miles on my car and every thing checks out ok the kit was crap in the first place so i new it was coming

Bad combo. Win is too low and OEM suspension is too soft. If you are looking at replacing the kit or suspension, it depends on what you want. If you want a better performer, then go with the suspension. If you want showy, then replace the kit. A kit won't help your scraping problem. It the kit is in OK condition, do your suspension. Most aftermarket suspension are a little (or a lot ) stiffer than stock so you won't scrape as much.

What I'd do? keep or dump the kit depending on condition. Look into what suspension you want and do that. Eventually, take your time and replace the kit.

BTW- what wheels are you running?

225 55 16 had 245 40 18 but took them off to heavy. the skirts and rear are jacked so i have the factory stuff for now . but i do want to lower it with spring and shocks for better handling.the ride is not as big a deal to me just better performance.thats why i took off the alba bertha series wheels. i am getting new 18 but light weight ones same tire size.

well, the win is very very low, so with city driving honestly i think it scraps way too easy

having aftermarket setup would help actually, coz' the springs are shocks are usually stiffer and the dampening is much better than stock, so it will reduce a lot of the bouncing

also, get sways, it will help the roll too

The only way to solve your problem would be to "raise" your car by putting on bigger rims. 18 inch rims will NOT do the trick. 20's would.
