has anyone heard of a GS (1998 and up) getting stolen even though they have that chip in the key which is required for engine to start. I am not talking about people who have remote starters and left a copy of that chip in the car. Is there a way around that anti-theft??? Has anyone heard anything like that?

ever heard of your lex been towed? they simply use a tow truck, tear apart the car, and sell the parts. or ship them overseas, then figure out the ignition problem....sad....

Yeah, most thieves just flatbed the car away...

We did this to a friend's car (my other friend owns a garage so he has a few flatbeds) as a joke...hehehehehe...it was just a beater anyways...he though someone stole it and was more suprised that someone would actually steal that piece of **** (it was a Ford Thunderbird...what a pile of ****)

My 98 was broken into 2 weeks ago saturday. They did not get the car, but they went through every thing else and stole some CD's. Being the went through the trunk and messed up everthing, I am confident they were looking for more. Regardless, they damaged the passenger key and it cost me $450 to fix, not counting the $300 in CD's they stole. Luckily I still have my baby...

I think like the mercedes and BMW's it is vertualy imposible to steel these cars by hot wiring you need special equipment to start the car and that equipment cost a gang a money to buy so if some one stole it there getting alot of money for it and there realy good at what they do ( havent you seen gone in 60 seconds hehehehe) actualy if you look closely on the wall that had the car list in the movie you would see a lexus GS400 was one of the cars they needed to steel I kinda found that amusing since there were no BMW's on it hehehe.

we tried to unlock my friends car from the out side and take his car while he was sleeping as a joke and let me tell you it was more like gone in an hour and a half lol and this was a '89 Maxima

biggie27, you saw in the movie Gs400 on the wall? You must have a good eye because I only saw LS400 on it and thats it. I even paused it on that part to look for it. I must be blind

yea there are two parts, the first part says GS400 when its on with that blacklight, and then when its on a chalkboard its an LS400, or the other way around, i think its LS on chalkboard, GS on wall though. i wish they showed them trying to steal the lex! haha

they have 8 hours to steal the car and two guys have to work on the lex for the whole 8 hours while the rest get the other rides! you'd be better off asking for a test drive and never coming back!

it was funny I spotted it in the theater and I yelled out they got my car on the wall right in the middleof the theater people just gave that wierd look and my friends started laughing dude it was funny

my friends laughed but were scared i was gonna get an *** whopping and there was this guy behind us whos like "shut the hell up and sit down!" it was SO FUNNY! turns out like 20 people i know went to that movie at that exact time, so people kept asking me why and if i'm an idiot!
