Question on 98 GS400
I have a friend with a 98 GS400. He has owned it since new and we were talking the other day about it. The last major service he had done on it was at Lexus and it was at 60k miles. The car now has 130k on it and is running fine, but he'd like me to perform any services that are due for it now.
Can someone please tell me what the dealer would check and/or replace at this level? I'm guessing it is overdue for a new timing and accessory belt at least. Probably needs a coolant and tranny flush as well.
I'd just like to see a list or if someone can link me to something that already exists for this. I tried searching here on CL to no avail.
Thanks!

90 k mi service
includes the following:
oil & filter, rotate and balance tires, air filter, replace tranny fluid, replace differential oil, replace brake fluid, replace engine coolant, replace a/c filter. Inspect all items subject to wear. Many will reccommend timing belt change along with other belts (a/c, power steering, alternator etc.) Due to removal of water pump to access timing belt, it is often replaced at the same time.

That car needs a load of preventative maintenance. Do the "Preventative" Maintenance to prevent or at least lessen the risk of repairs. If you maintain a Toyota, it WILL last for a VERY long time.
