Hehe, I just hit 40k miles in my 98 GS the other day.... Going to celebrate by doing a couple things!

I'd look into the timing belt. Its an interference fit. If it goes while the motors running all hell brakes loose. Bent valves, broken pistons. I think Lexus charges 450-475 for parts and labor.

You mean "in ALL cases".


Man, don't be afraid of 100K. I know it's phsycological to you but still. You should only think of giving it
up at around 300-400K. This is when the 1st couple of things may go wrong.

Lol your right, maybe around 300K or 400k i'll be ready to trade it in! lol.

jtanoyo1- Don't worry about rubbing it in or anything! lol j/k man.

... its more reliable (in most cases) than a MB or BMW.

In ALL cases lol.

100K aint nothing on these cars. They still run like new. Just make sure you maintain it properly.
