price check 01 gs430 with 66k miles
Let me know what you all think this should be worth
01 gs430 blk/tan
ML/Nav
66k miles
no 17's, no spoiler but it does have the hid lights.
This is a one owner off lease vehicle with a clean carfax.
I will go and look at it tomorrow but trying to get an idea of what you all think it should be worth with these miles on it.
This is being sold by a private seller not a dealer, asking price 26,500. is it worth it???

Sounds decent... Really depends on area. Here in Cali you are paying a premium for cars as opposed to TX or FL. Check kbb or nada and see what they say... then negotiate.

Thanks for the replies. I need to feel this out because I was looking for a lower mileage vehicle. I know the gs is a bulletproof car so... I will go and look at this one. I want one with the ML and Nav and don't really care if the car has 16's and no spoiler because that was going to get changed anyway (if you know what I mean).
I just don't know how much the mileage should adjust the price. I haven't seen too many gs 430's under $30k with ML and Nav (that being said they generally don't have 66K miles either)

Here in DC, majority of the GS430 here have 16 in wheels and no spoilers. Even less so without Nav and ML system. I had to travel to Pa, to purchase the one I wanted. From after a year of searching I have found at least 95% of the GS 430 here are of the "options deleted" variety. But that deal I found is one of the best I have seen, considering I have found 2 GS 430 with over 70,000 miles with dealers asking 30k plus. Good Luck.

you were searchin for a year for one of these cars, but from your reply I can't tell if you think this is a good deal or not. I might be able to negotiate some but the guy sounds pretty firm.
How many of you would buy this car at this price if it checked out and is a "good" car???

I am sorry. Yes it's a good deal. One of the things I did was run a comparison of prices within a 150 radius, on www.cars.com, www.autotrader.com or other car sites. For example, here in the DC area vehicles with that mileage would run between 24000-27000. And from what I gathered of the 10 cars I have found...none have navigation or mark levison sound system. So here in the DC area your car would probaly go for over 28,000. And if it was "Lexus Certified", in which I have seen some with high mileage. It would be over 30k. So yes I would agree it is a good price.

Thanks again. I feel that it is a decent deal but am not sure if I try to sell this car in a year or so with 75k miles on it if anyone will want it. Do you think these cars sell with high mileage on them?
What do you all think, would you buy a gs 430 with 66k miles on it or not?

Before you ask is it a good deal, does it have the stuff you want in the car? There will always be another car, even if you have to take a ride to get it. 2001's are off lease and a plenty.
That said, the price seems fair. This car will go for a long time with only gas and oil changes (and air filter changes). Worth so much more than buying a new camry for $30k plus......

It does have the equipment that I want. I am looking for a black or silver car with ml/nav. I would prefer a car with black interior.
Future plans for whatever I end up with will be:
Tein cs/ Staggered 19's/ Diazen sways/ tte front lip/ tint
This is why I don't really care if the car has 16's or 17's

I bought a 99 same color and setup with spoiler but 76k miles for 19,500 which was I thought a great deal about 6 months ago. The lexus dealer was found on the oil change reminder sticker. I called them and they faxed me the whole history on the car from new.
With the black color, you can look down the side and tell if anything was fixed on the body. Expect to see a couple of small dings. Beige interior shows a little dirt but wears well. The drivers seat outside is the high traffic area and the floormats.
I had to send the 6 cd changer out and get it fixed and it may need new tires soon but that's it.
Try to get yours for $25k. You may have a little warranty left, not that you'll need it.

The work was obviously professionally done, so I was less than pleased that it didn't show up on Carfax. For yuks and giggles, I ran the VIN of a car I used to have that had $3,500+ of bodywork done a couple of years ago after an accident (not my fault ). The Carfax showed NOTHING.
Moral of the story: Save your $$ and don't waste it on Carfax, unless you're interested in owner history.

I second the carfax opinion.
I totalled a car, bought it from the insurance company and fixed it at a body shop and the carfax is clean.
My friend had his Acura 3.2 stolen and then recovered by the police in Newark NJ and his carfax is clean.
