Default 2001-2005 GS Taillight Red Film?

Anybody know where I can get the red film/tape that sticks on and covers the amber strip on the newer tails? I've seen it somewhere in a "post within a post", but its hard to retrack.

Also, is the clear reverse portion cut out of the strip?

Regards,
RefinedGS

i would say get the red tail spary. just cover up the reverse light if you want to keep it. Might last a little longer and be a little more uniform.

My vote is for the red film tape. I believe it's made by 3m..looks very clean and hardly noticable! Here's a pic of what it would look like...

I left him a PM...but haven't heard back yet.
Yeah the tape probably looks cleaner & safer to use it sounds. No worries about blending and overspray with the paint.

Haven't done it yet, but i'm sure if it's a film, you take the same tool they use to smooth out window tint when they put it on, make sure it's lubricated really good, and then smooth it out, and pat it dry. check in like a half an hour, and make sure all the air bubbles have gone. (my .02 with window tint)

Sorry guys....been extremely busy with business school and haven't had much time to do much of anything...let alone even read the forums much. So for all those who are interested, please email to "jtranman@jtranman.com" and put something about Red Vinyl Tails in the subject.....
