the curse?

i know how you feel man. honestly, i don't care how bad the damage is, it's still damage to our beloved cars. it's always heart breaking, even if it's just a small ding or dent on the door
so the chain literally got caught on the exhaust and didn't come off until you pulled over or something? that's a lot of damage on all the panels

it can be buffed off.
(sorry, i just had to say it because i always hear people say it when they get into accidents)
Let insurance handle the damage. Once it gets fixed, i say trade it in for another GS

Rominl - Unfortunately yes, I was dragging the chain until I was able to pull over and see that I had a flat tire. Good thing is, the car didn't even drive like it had a flat.

I say sue the state of California for punative damages. Clearly shouldn't have had that just layin in the road.
Seriously tho, sorry to hear about your mishap. Good thing you had your car blessed or else who knows what other damages that thing could have done! Think about it in a good perspective! No one got hurt, and all fixable, replaceable damage.

This final pic is a shot of the culprit. Looked like some sort of serial killer weapon to me. I know the damage may not look that bad to some, but trust me, it hurt me to even look at it.

I'd sell it and buy yourself a different vehicle. Friend has a 2000 impreza 2.5RS. blew out back left tire in the first month. front right in the 3rd month. get hit by an old lady the 6th month and another accident the 8th month that broke his lights, bumper and front left fender. He's fixing it and selling it right away.
