That's not saying much considering that the OEM grill weighs a ton. My AB Flug cf grill weighs next to nothing and a lot of the fiberglass grills out there also only weigh like feather. Tell your friend to put it on, from your closeup pic, it looks like a decent (if not, very nice) grill.

not really. the dsr grille is just as heavy, if not more, than the stock grille. i can literally knock someone out with the grille man, that's how solid and heavy that thing is

Yikes, really? I don't own one, so I couldn't have known. Must have been my carbonfiber grill that's making it light ......

I actually liked that grill, and was going to buy it before I got a killer deal on my RMM grill

looks sweet...who cares that it's plastic...plastic means lighter which is always a good thing

the Junction Produce grille is REALLY heavy... IMO, it felt much heavier than stock. However, our grille is a true billet grille tho... hence the weight...

the Kazz grille looks good. Your buddy might feel better about it when he puts it on his car. 300-500 for a grille isn't too bad considering the grille I have is 880...

ABS plastic is not too bad ...don't forget that making an ABS plastic mold is not cheap.
Doing a plastic mold is often more expensive than a metal mold.

Also, nowadays, most so called OEM chrome stuff is chromed plastic, like the chrome shifter bezel, the chrome trunk lid.

A lot of Taiwanese copy chrome stuff, like the chrome rear light garnish, is metal...

Having a piece that fits perfectly ... that is what count ...

Talking Benz Grill

Post a pic of the grill on your friends car please. I actually wanted to get this same grill from Lextasy but the price was to much for my wallet. I think it looks cool, but I didn't know their was a black mesh grill layered behind it. That part looks kind of cheap though...

is your Kazz grille then not 'chromed'?

Btw you always need to be careful when ordering JDM parts made by small(er )Japanese companies.

Fitment is normally very good, but sometimes will need some refinishing. That's why they often prefer selling domestically only.

yeah, 800 for the jp grille, so damn expensive! but i think having some weight is good, otherwise it might be hard to close the hood? or the weight of the hood itself is already enough?
