Hi guys,

I just got som 18x8.5 F and 18x9.5R Volk SS7 wheels with 245/40 and 275/35 Nitto Extreme 555 tires. Gotta love the more flushed look of the rear wheels! Many thanks to Dave @ GTAUTOSPORTS for facilitating this great deal...

More mods to come...Next up is putting my WINRacing rear spoiler and Eibach/Bilstein Suspension combo...

Default Closeup of the wheel...

I like the blue accents...I am getting some blue anodized lug nuts to go with the wheels.

Ha ha too late, I have had the spoiler sitting in my room for about 2 weeks now. First thing I bought!

Congrats BLiu looks nice - now you need some bigger tips to fill those exhaust openings at the back. It never ends!

Hi BLiu,

Your wheels are BEAUTIFUL! Great choice! Have you considered painting the calipers blue? that would look great with the blue accents.

I was hoping you could help me getting a hold on David. Please ask him to email Miguel regarding the Volk Stickers and the blue valve stems (same as your wheels), its been two months since I knew anything from him.

Thanks a bunch!!

Thanks for the complement...I already e-mailed him concerning the difficulties of reaching him. Hopefully he will respond. When I talk to him I will mention it to him as well.

I thought about painting the calipars blue also but I think that would be a little too much blue for my taste. Thanks for the recommendation!

Default wheels

AVS and VERSUS which company copied who? Do you guys consider both good companies or is one better then the other because one is a copy of the other?

You can't say which company copied which. Basically these two designs are NOT THAT SIMILAR if you look at other Model 7 Knock-offs. YRC's Advan AVS Model 7 wheels are "original designs" because they're the first one to come up with that 7-spoke design (there's proof that Model 7s are first). But VERSUS did not really COPY the design, because the Versus Championato SS7 has a better offset curve on the spokes and they actually look both larger in diameter and deeper in the wheel width.

You can't say which company is better simply because the designs are similar and one seems to copy another. IMO Both VERSUS and ADVAN are great companies. Versus wheels are made by VOLKRACING and the quality is exceptional. Advan makes very good racing wheels. I would say both companies are good, and it all depends on the design you like, since the qualities of both are absolutely great.

Looks like MANARAY needs to comment on this subject about knock-offs or not!

Absolutely, I am waiting with bated breath for Manaray's comments as well. I initially wanted to get the AVS Model 7's but when I saw the SS7's with the deeper curves I fell in love with the design...

Where's Manaray when you need him?...
