Call local Lexus parts and ask them to fax you a copy of the picture that covers rear bumper. Side bonus is it would list items that need to be replaced (one time use only).

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. You tell me to call Lexus and ask for a one time use items list or picture on the rear bumper?

There two types of pictures published by manufacturer..

1. Service manual

or

2. Parts
The parts has a picture of various components that form an assembly with part number designated on each component. The picture also shows where each screw goes.

I have never asked for a copy of a service manual page
BUT
Local Lexus parts has been nice enough to fax over a page or two which has the assembly (center console in my case) and that gave me enough know how to take it apart.
Note: The parts picture does not list step by step process.

The parts picture also has special denotaiton marking must replace parts .. like orings etc. It may not apply on the rear bumper assembly. Sorry it threw you off.

Hi Salim,
The Lexus Service Center near my house actually just faxed over the part picture. I was a little surprised of how easy it was to ask for it. Anyway, I'll be at it again this weekend and will keep you posted.
Thanks for your advice,
Steve

When removing the bumpers, do I have to remove and replace the chrome moulding? A bodyshop told me that I need to replace them but I don't know if that's true.
