these wheels are spun-cast just like the Work Wheels line. however, something is weird with the weight of the Scaras. I am going to weight the other set that came in and see what the true weight is on the wheel. When I lifted the wheel out of the box the other day, it felt REALLY light. Unless JP decided to switch the manufacturing process, these are spun-cast. Not as lightweight as forged, but pretty damn close in durability. I drove all over CA with my rims and I had a slight bend from an unavoidable pot hole in San Francisco. only one, with all the daily driving I did in SF too. SF streets suck... haha

I am hoping that it is not a one-off custom bumper like Jon (jtanoyo1), usually between Steve and I, we can track down many things.

Thumbs up

Scara is SWEET!!!
I've seen only two sets so far in person (John is one of the two,) and those are unique & elegant.

BTW.........the name "SCARA" sounds cool.....

John, see that white Fusa hanging on the mirror? I need three please

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but when I had new tires put on my Carlsson 2/6's the inside had " O.Z. racing" inside the rim..... Does anyone know why it would say that? thanks

ALSO TLW,

Are you going to run a stretched tire or normal tire setup? thanks

BTW Eric on a side note, I asked John what Scara meant about 8 months ago. He answered it for me during the EOS meet after coming back from Japan (had to go to Japan for an answer lol). There is a rock or some crystal called a scara something and it gives a rainbow effect. The same effect you will see when you look at these rims from an angle.

SInce you have JP rims, you should run it a little stretched. Not too much like John because you may bend your rims. When you run a stretched tire, you expose the lip area and if you were to hit a curb there is absolutely no protection. My advice would be to get falken tires in the same standard size as the ones you have. Falken tires stretch and will give you a nice look to compliment those rims.
