Need Experts advice....fast!
We are looking at a 2004 q45, for $28,000, with 60 miles. Should we jump? We are going to look at it.....very soon!!! An issue may be that the guy says he got it from the dealer who had it orginally - with 50 miles. So...what if this guy is having major probelms with it. Is this a lemon sign???
I read extensively in the search on past threads, but other than gettin it professionally checked... What else?
Only gonna be here for a *little* while...before the deal is done.
Thanks
F_natic!!
*edit* I guess i should mention the guy is selling cause he wants a mercedes, That's all he says who knows if he's telling the truth- if it's a lemon....

that is an incredible price for a 2004....I would definately have the car checked out professionally....also you might wanna walk around the car and check for any uneveness of the paint and also open up the trunk area and pull up some of the panels and make sure the car doenst have new welds or burn marks from a accident repair... other than that...its a good buy i would say

It's possible, however that kinda stuff doesn't happen around here; there is about 2 dealerships in the area, where people (not garages) are very trustworthy,,
Could it just be lemon- being high mileage, or did he just think the depreciation is going down being the 2005 refresh?

either that guy needs the money desperately and very quickly, or you're facing the significant possibility that something's up with that car.
if i were you, get the VIN number and call a dealership from another town to have them run the records on it. find out what the reason is for selling it that cheaply. anyone who sells a good-condition 2004 Q45 for that price is taking a very big loss on it. so be careful.

the guy is selling cause he wants mercedes . Maybe we want it badly..but the price really may be too low even with the mileage.
However a dealer is also selling a 03 e500, with 2 miles for $53. And this is a dealer???
What's the story with that?

thanks for those nice people who actually gave their input.
Update is....this cheeseball gave a phony year in the paper. It's 2002- not 2004- big difference.
Not such a deal no more
Were hopefully gonna get an ls430 in the spring, which makes more sence to not get a new car right before snowy winters, and of course......lexus is the best.
