i saw this on a couple GS and i want to know where to get it from? It is the chrome ring around the gear area and what is it called...

that's the new style 01+ center shift plate assembly. it comes with a dark chrome bezel. and also the cup holder is a bit different in design too

Does anyone know a place to have this chromed??? i will try a search on "center shift plate" and see if i can find something!!

well yeah, i guess i am on the forum way too much

the piece used to be around 50 bucks purchase price. a lot of people got on it, however now toyota has pulled the part, and you have to get the whole shift plate assembly. very expensive, like 300 bucks or so. (sniff sniff coz' that's how i got mine )

i mean its nice but COME ON $50 would have been pushing it in my book but was workable, but $300......

i am only 21y.o. i just bought the 01 taillights $305 i am gonna be broke by the time i finish modding my lex....forget my nursing job i will need a Doctors salary to help with my modding problem (has CL opened "Modding Anonymous" we need that hotline)


Welp i guess i will have to find someplace that does chroming....do u know anywhere?????

well no one ever say that modding the GS (lexus) is cheap you don't even wanna know how much i put on my car!

There are a lot of topics on this. I searched for a while too. It was about $20 for a while. I got quoted for $260 for the whole assembly. I am just going to take it off and get it chromed. At EOS there was a company SIK Industries? I think that does chrome plating on plastic.

Sik Industries is the company. EOS is the End Of Summer meet. RMMGS4 has had a lot of pieces done by SIK.
