Hey Everyone

I have a 04 gs430 with the Mark Levinson audio system. The subwoofer that came with the car has been rattling for about 2 weeks now and it just gets worse and worse everyday. I'm a pretty young kid I like my music loud but it doesnt sound blown out or anything, any suggestions. Also, i was wondering if it was possible to replace that sub with an aftermarket sub.

i agree, you should still have warranty, go back to have it fixed

 

It's nice to see young kids enjoying the finer things in life like the 04 LS430 with Mark Levinson I'm hoping you're enjoying it, it's a fantastic car. As previously suggested, have the dealer fix it on warranty. Good luck!

 

believe me man, i wanna get the ls430 so bad... but my wife says i can only get it when i am 40, damnit...

 

Simple fix....if rattling....tighten it....LOL!!!

 

well the rattling stopped, but so did all the bass. The sub just stopped working completly but i made an appointment with lexus. oooo and does anyone know if that sub is replaceable with an after market sub? Thanks again everybody!

 

maybe one of the wires got loose from all the rattling?

Hopefully you got the dealer to fix the rattle.

On a side note, will this change her mind? THis is one of reason why I want a 430, like NOW!

 

I just got a 2005 Lexus LS430 Ultra Luxury Black on Black and im 23.. no point to wait till your 40.. my previous cars where sc430 & gs400 and the ls blows them away!

Same thing happened on my 01. Turned out to be blown.

It’s covered by warranty.

 

That sub is matched to the rest of the system by Mark Levinson himself. Don't mess with it.

 

As I overheard at the Ferrari dealership...one guy was telling a young 360 owner...when you grow up, you'll get the V-12.
