I bet you if you go to your local independently owned audio shops or pond shops, you will see some of ur merchandise. There is a shop in my area called Audio Buys and they do put hot stuff on consignment for these MFs. One time the salesman there tried to sell me a sony eq in which the wires attached to the connectors in the back were all cut very short and the unit has glue all around it. its just so obvious that some of the stuff they had behind this glass cabinet were stolen cuz alot of them were sold as is and i can tell most of the stuff have some dents, cracks, missing parts, or wires cut very short, etc

Ok, so finally the insurance has come through. And here's the statement I recieved along with payment. I was not very happy about this part: (clears throat) and i quote:

"Possible supplement on parts prices. THE OWNER STATED THAT THE CAR WAS PUT IN NEUTRAL IN ORDER TO STEAL THE DVD PLAYER CAUSING THE CAR TO ROLL DOWN A HILL AND STRIKE ANOTHER CAR DAMAGING THE REAR BUMPER COVER. THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE KEYS TO THE CAR, THE GEAR SHIFT LOCKS WHEN YOU LOCK THE IGNITION. I CALLED LEXUS OF WILMINGTON AND SPOKE WITH DAN WHITE IN SERVECE WHO VERIFIED THIS INFORMATION. I recommend you deny any claims for damage to the rear bumper.

The car was equipted with a DVD/Navigation System that was stolen along with a modulator switch which was mounted to the roof, theives gained entry by breaking the rt ft door glass and damaging the door frame. rt leather seat was cut by broken glass, appropriate betterment taken on leather seat cover. there is also damage to the console trim and shifter ****."

What is highlighted and in caps is what had me P.O'd. How are they going to tell me how i found my car, and what gear it was in? Also, Dan White from Lexus, i am very disappointed in you. It is absolutely possible, because i only own one key for my car, and it was definately in my posession that night. Maybe Dan needs a new job, or some better understanding! Maybe somone should break into his Lexus and putt that *ish into "N" and prove that it's possible. Sorry, needed to vent. Other than that, the settlement was pretty sweet i guess. $2700 and some change.

Need some advice on a DVD Player, and CD Changer. Any suggestions?

All that DAN WHITE had to say was that it was possible to force it. Obviously it is. What a pr!ck. Guy could have made things easier on you at no expense to himself, but didn't. I hate people like that.

Did they damage the shift lock?

Good luck-

No, i heard it click, w/o pressing the brake a few times in the beginning because i moved it till it hit the lock, and after say 2 times, it doesn't click anymore, and i have no problems shifting.

I belive that you can put the car in neutral without haveing a key if you depress the shift lock button and move the gear lever.

And as far as i know, your right! The person who broke in seemed to have some knowledge of cars (my car) because, the alarm appearantly wasn't set off, and other then the busted window, nothing was really ripped/torn/or gashed, like the "i don't know what the hell i'm doing" kinda car theif.

I thought you still had to have the key in the ignition with it turned to lock or ACC. At least it says so in the owners manual.

Thanks man, i appreciate it. I'm going this tuesday to price everything, and probably get my car for some minor work this friday. I will keep updating this until everything is replaced/fixed. Hopefully the weather's not as Ishy has it has been so i can take some pics.
