if you make full hard lock turns, you will rub the front of the wheel well
if you lower the car enough, you will rub the top of the wheel well

on my 19 fat setup 275/35/19's in the rear..... I'm pretty low all around. Apexi' WS coils down to no finger gap at all w/ tires tuckin'.... and I dont rub unless I have 2 passengers in the car. Sometimes when I have 1 passenger and I take a corner aggressively I rub slightly but out of the 4-5 months this may have happen maybe twice. The offset of my wheels though are 45 so if your offset is more aggressive I would assume you would rub.

i have 8.5+32 with 245 in the front, and you guys know how low my car is. and i rub when doing hard lock turns as well as the top before i mod the fender

Unfortunately mine are cast. They came with the car from Lexus and with it being a lease I didn't plan on changing them.
I think I mentioned before that I get some slight rubbing and the driver's side rear. The car is lowered, but it usually only happens if I get on the gas hard when making a right turn or sometimes under heavy acceleration changing lanes. But it's not that often so I'm not too concerned.

I don't think you'll find forged wheels for 2k unless they're used. Which is okay. I'd rather buy a set of used forged wheels than some cheaply made new cast wheels.

I voted fat. We have the fortune of running regular and fat with our 2 GS's and with the drop and 19's, it more comfortable with the fat set up IMO. Generally a quieter ride with the assurance that it's gona take a hell of a pothole or terrible road transition to burger up a wheel.
