i just bought some 20'' lowenhart ld5 from someone and the tires are 245/35/20 and 275/35/20 in the rear, the rims are being shipped out now, i dont know about any fat set up or anything can someone pm me and let me know whats up with it, and if it would be alright to keep the 275 in the rear or change them?

thanks

The setup most people run on 20s is the fat setup of 20s. 275 in the rear is OK. It is the 35 part that is problematic. You are running wheels with two different diameters (not good) and that rear spec is about 2 inches bigger than spec. If possible, I'd step down to 275/30/20 for the rear.

for 20s you do NOT want to run fat setup, it's going to be way out of spec and you are going to hit suspension very easily. just stick with 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 and you get the best

no rubbing for me at all, and my ride is crushed almost all the way down on Tanabe coilovers. My setup:

19x8.5, high disk, +42/58 mm lip, ~2"
19x10, super low disk, +43/ 102 mm, ~3.9"
245/35/19 + 275/30/19

That's a car I never get tired of seeing!!!

I think Fat refers to the height of the sidewall: Front - 245/40 and Rear - 265 or 275/35. I have 19x8 & 19x10 with 235/35/19 and 275/30/19 and it's considered skinny.

Guys please chime in. I'm currently running normal setup. THey are 19x9 +37 low disk and 19x10 normal disk. 245x35x19 and 275x30x19 lowered with tein CS. wiht no rubbing issues watsoever. I really wanna go with fat setup, but my concern is rubbing. Since my fronts is 19x9 +37 agressive setup. Do you guys think i'll be okay if i go fat setup.

nice car bro! millenium silver rocks! when we are talking about a fat 19" setup...we are talking about running 245/40/19 and 275/35/19....spec is 245/35/19 and 275/30/19.

You are 1-2mm more aggressive than rominl's front setup. He had to do a little rolling and tucking.

Since it is out there, you will probably have a bit of rubbing when wo make full turns. Yup will rub a little backing up.

to be honest i don't like looking at the fat set up cus it makes the wheels look like 18's but i totaly understand what ride quality means to a lot of people. its a tough call go fat and have wheels look smaller or go normal set up and have wheels like just right yet a little harsh road wise. i vote normal set up..

bluelex is right...sometimes I look at the wheels and the fat set up makes them look smaller. Most of the time they look muscular and powerful....that mean look. More fitting for a coupe imo.

I have the fat setup. My front offset is 38 and I'm dropped 1.9; I don't rub. I LOVE the ride. It's SO comfortable compared to the normal setup. If you haven't seen the fat setup in person, you need to. Honestly, it doesn't make them look that small. You can definatley tell they are 19's.
