The places I go to charge approx $2500 to $3500 for a full paintjob. But then if you go to one of those collision specialist places I've heard of Paintjobs up to $6000 which in my opinion is insane! especially when you aren't really doing anything too special w/ your paint. I'd rather put that money to boost and rock the primer look!

check out AutoWerks but lately I've been hearing a few rumors of unsatisfied customers. So now I am leaning towards mobworks.

my body shop wants $3k from me to repaint my whole car factory CWP

I assume cars w/o the pearl are cheaper as that's one less step to handle

D-man, if you want my shop's info...holla!

Cool paint hood

since we're into the cost of paint, does anyone know what it would cost just to do the hood?

If it matters it is metallic desert gold.

thanks

if its no repairs just strictly sand prep and paint then it should cost anywhere from $300 to $600 depending on where you are from. Around here in SoCal at most decent shops it should get quoted at around $400

i heard good things about marcos.

the thing is... does mobworks or the other shop take off window trim etc. before they paint? $3K isn't too bad.

yes they should take off all moldings and all parts off the car.

my last paint shop pissed me off because on one of my cars they did not take off the door handles which caused horrible blogs of paint in the cracks and seems.... a good paintshop would take the time to take apart all parts and paint them individually or take further prep to make sure the paint does not get in between seems.

its hard to find people that are detailed enough to put the effort in all the details.

thats not out of the ordinary. I get a better deal because I am like family to the owner of the shop.

My quote included complete strip down of factory paint, primer, and 3 step paint plus fixing the little dings I have here and there
