Oh, I used to think my GS was a large car but it seems to be shrinking - or at least my perception.
And they are big the way most of us park them. I enjoy taking up at least 4 parking spots at work.

To me the GS is a "just right" size.
For one or two people I can see how someone would see it as "big". For a family it certainly isn't "big". My Marauder is "big" but has about the same amount of space inside.

i think the Gs looks bigger and drives like its a bigger car...my TL and TLS both felt like they were more midsized rather than big...i still think that the backseat had a little more room in my tl's...also, i had more trunk room in the tl's too...no doubt, the gs is comfy for front seat riders but backseat riders aren't too comfy getting in and out with very little leg and head room...Shyne

EV ftw!!!
It's all relative guys!!!!
The GS is big compared to an M3 or a Porsche 997 for instance. However it is not big compared to an S-class Benz or an LS430.
I love the proportions and size of the GS, but wish I had the financial means to reduce its weight such as putting in light weight seats and CF hood and trunk lid. I think the GS would be the perfect sports (with space for 4 adults) sedan if it weighed under 3500 lbs!

I dont think it is but...
I was going to see a friend of mine and I didnt know exactly where she lived I was driving pass her apartment and she could see the car from her window and she called my cell and she said "I see you now I forgot you have one of those big, noticeable (sp) cars" I felt kinda self concious about the GS after that, like I'm being watched... Oh well I think thats why I bought it lol

i used to think it was big compare to what i used to drive (honda, acura) but seem "just right" now. i drive my gf LS430 and it still doesnt feel big just looks big. nowadays, most cars are made bigger, look at the corolla, it used to be a tiny car, now it looks/is alot bigger, just not as wide as my GS or even the new Camry, parked next to my dad's LS400, its taller and looks as big as the LS but not inside.. yes red, my car seem to be shrinking too.

The GS has the solidity and 'feel' of a big car in terms of how it rides (quiet, solid, etc). But if you line my 99 GS4 up with my mom's 04 Camry, her Camry is obviously bigger inside and out.
I still bet my car weighs considerably more though.

Back to the topic, I think the size of GS is just right for passengers but not for loads in the trunk. When it comes to find parking on the street, i always think my car is too big for some open spots.

Big is a 1969 Cadillac!
My GS works for me at 6'3", 230. Its comfortable and provides enough room. It is bigger than many cars, but that doesn't make it big, just the other cars small! LOL!
And never take 4 spots when parking. Many people have nice cars and you should always park inside the lines. It is rude to take more than one spot and is more likely to get you "keyed" when you don't.
