I find the GS4 rather on the small side on the inside. My previous vechicle was a 96 Chevy Impala SS and my other vechicle is a Ford Excursion 4x4.Its alright with me though it's growing on me.

That's weird... maybe they're just more worn in?

My fiancee has a 99 Accord, and the leather in it from the day it came off the showroom floor was very inflexible. I once bought a 97 Accord with the only intent for profiting from its resale, and its leather was literally about as stiff as cardboard. I had to sand all of the dye off of it, deep condition it, and then redye the seats. And they still were only about as soft as those in my fiancee's 99.

Even in the newly redesigned 2004 Acura TL I took for a test drive, the leather was nowhere close to as soft as the leather in an 04 Lexus of any model, period... even compared to my 5 year old 99 GS4, the TL's leather was stiffer. And it's unusually prone to permanent wrinkles too, from what I've heard of the new model...?

Even brand new Toyota models... their leather is no match for any new lexus models. I prefer the feel of my now 6 year old GS' leather to the leather in my fiancee's 05 4Runner and my mom's 04 Camry without a doubt.

I find that amazing. I have an '02, 430 and have been next to a few Camry's (not sure if any were an '04) and it is noticably smaller, both in and out. I'm a fairly big guy (6'3", 230), yet the car is roomy and so ergonomically perfect for me it's scary. I didn't think the 99 GS was that much different from an '02 (space wise).

Does anyone know the interior stats for comparison purposes? (it could be true but I am very skeptical)

And the leather seats are probably some of the most comfortable I have ever sat in.

I believe the newer Camrys 04 models maybe just a little longer than the GS. I recently rode in the 05 model and was very impressed with the leg room myself.

not very sure. i test drove the 04 tl, and yes it has stiffer leather. but the 99-03 was the previous generation and it seemed better. you are right though, could be the wear

Thanks Threxx!

The GS is right in all the categories that I need, almost 3" on the legroom. When you have a 38" inseam, that means alot. LOL!
