Did the upgrade myself. Cramped for room with no ramps (I never trust the jack). Patience wins out.

First impressions: Sounds just perfect. Not too loud and not quiet.

Here is the rub ...

After driving a while, I wish it was quieter inside the cab. I would prefer if with raised windows, it was quieter inside. The system is NOT loud outside (maybe the sound disperses better on the outside).

The Ltuned exhaust is much smaller than the stock. Any idea if adding a sound deadener above the sheild would help?

I observe growl highest around 1.7K rpm. I wish it was designed to be @ 3K + rpm.

I have kept the old set, just in case the real owner (my wife ) insists on the stealth mode.

Sound deadener = Sound insulation.

Normally felt works well, but may not work in the harsh environment (underneath the car) as well as heat.

The exhaust tips as well as the shell look nice with the chrome emblems in the back (Glad that we did not select the gold trim option)

So what kind of sound deadner or sound insulation would you add in that harsh environment besides felt?

I am asking because I am wanting to quieten down my gs4 even more than it already is with stock, but without major revisions.

You guys need to go to a muffler shop and ask them if they have what's so called (I think) high flow resonator. I had one installed in my old Prelude after I was getting sick of that aftermarket exhaust system. It should not affect the performance of your car. I know it helped and made the interior of my car alot quiter.

I like the LTuned exhaust sound and intensity as a listener OUT of the car. As a passenger/driver, I would like to reduce the drone INSIDE the car with windows rolled up. Hence the idea of sound deadener.

With stock exhaust, there is practically very little space to add sound insulation. I assume the intent is to make the inside more quieter.

I was trying to capture the wisdom of the club members and their successful/un-successful experience.

Another objective was to let the members know what to expected (granted most of it is subjective).

hi guys ,
lets see if this works,i tried a few months ago to post something but it did'nt work.I have installed ss borlas and really loved the sound, but sometimes the interior drone is annoying so i contacted borla and they sent me( free) a set of "venturies" these are to be welded inside the pipe.the effect is to reduse the interior noise.I do not know if other companies offer the same, but you should contact the company not the dealer to determine wether they offer such a product.
