the curse: Panda Vs. Deer

talk about bad luck....I have about the worst F*in luck with my car...
I just bought an amp from GSwanted.....left his house to go out to a nearby casino with some buddies and what do you know....A DEER LEAPS OUT AT MY CAR! the picture doesnt show the extent of the damage but i will take some more in the morning when there is light out....its about 2:00am right now PST.

Yikes....is that your cf hood too? I am surprised the deer didn't crack it in half. I was expecting a much worse damage, but it doesn't look half bad.....I know, I know, it still stinks.....can it be fixed???

Oh damn man...if it weren't for bad luck you'd have NO luck at all in terms of your car recently. The wheels, paint, etc.? Damn...It's unfortunate but at least no one was hurt. Hopefully the damage isn't that bad. I know you have to be pissed though.

We have a lot of deer around this area, esp. at this time of year. Sorry to hear the unfortunate incident, but at least no one was hurt (except for the animal). Did you guys still make it out to the casino?

thats really not that bad, all things considered.
you need to remember, a deer is at least 400-500lbs and usually when a car hits a deer, yes the deer is dead but so is the car

Full Story....
So i was in a mountainous area, heading down a hill, and about not more then 10 feet infront of me, my friends and I see a flash from the deers eyes, on the side of the road... before we knew it, it ran right into my cars path, and I had little to no time to stop the car....as soon as I saw it, I hit it...thats how fast it was.
Traveling about 40-50 mph...I sent the deer soaring into the sky...
When you hit something as big as this you have a moral obligation to stop the car and check to see if the animal is dead or not. You guys may be thinking im really pissed, but im really not all that mad. I feel really bad that I hit this poor animal. I hit this deer at its rear end...the dent you see was caused mainly from its left side ***. So as you see...its almost directly in the middle of my car...I hit the back end of the animal and nothing in the front of it......
the deer flew about 20 feet...no lie it ended up on the other side of the road. Me and my friends got out of my car and checked the damage on my car first...then ran across the street to see if the animal was dead or not. Well sure enough it was NOT dead...it was still alive, in shock, but still alive....after it snapped out of the shock stage it tried to get up...but it couldnt...I OBLITERATED BOTH HIND LEGS. god i felt so bad, this poor animal is sitting on the ground dragging its broken legs BACK ACROSS THE HIGHWAY! I was like what the hell is it doing?
One of my buddies that was with me is a Sacramento Sheriff and he just happened to not carry his gun last night so we couldnt shoot the animal to put it out of its misery. So we dialed the nearest police station which took them an HOUR to come out ....during this time the deer managed to get back across the highway, and climb up the side of a mountain with an angle of about 40 degrees dragging its hind legs, im in amazement of how the hell this thing could do this....it climbed right into private property, so when the CHP arrived she couldnt shoot the deer cause it was now on private property......
I got a police report so I will be calling the insurance company first thing monday morning and getting this fixed asap...
I think I got out of this situation with little damage to my car, although it is a nuisance to deal with Im glad none of us got hurt, it could have been much worse (i.e. the deer going thru the winshield) but we wont think about that.
here is the damage...my front left fender was damaged when the tire caught the fender lip and pulled the tab out, this happened when I pulled to the side of the road and bottomed out a little bit...
