Thanks for the compliments fellas.......

Rom....I have to stay with the rivets, as much as I was thinking about the 8 series, I love the old school 3 piece look.

Blue.....I did not clear the wheel at all this time around. I cleared the inner barrels and face on the last set, I opted to stay away from it this time. There was a few reasons for this.....I didnt want to take the risk of the clear peeling in the long run, you can make the wheel shine a little more without the clear, and this style would be a little easier to stay up on compared to the mesh style 540's. I dont really drive the car much, if it was my daily driver, the wheel would be cleared for sure.

T.L.W.......I think that Feb '05 would be a good geuss on the completion. I am being told late December to early January......but I would be shocked to see that happen. Although they did have the engine yanked last week, the same day that they started working on the car...so who knows!

Getting the wheels just made it feel like I am making some kind of progress on the car.....I got the wheels and the body kit......now all I need is the car to come back to life.

going with 11 has nothing to with the lip size, coz' all the extra width goes towars the inside. so i guess he's just staying with the same lip, around 3" in the back

and 5 spokes? he had mesh and now 11 spokes. so next time i guess

getting 11 in the back has nothing to do with lip size coz' all the extra width goes to the inside. so i guess jeff is still have around 3" lip in the back, unless he's doing something very crazy to the fender (hint hint )

and 5 spokes? he had mesh, and now 11 spokes. so next time i guess

rom is exactly right......the offsets that I ran with gave me a little more lip than the last set, I think its like 3 1/4""...although I havent measured them yet. most of the extra width goes inwards, just enough to fit these monster rear tires I have.

To answer the question on the lip size, I just measured them out of curiosity.

Rear is 3.5"
Front is 2"

If I remember correctly, my old wheels had a 3" rear and 2" front.

I didnt gain the .5" automatically by going to the 11" wheel, I will have to do some things to make this offset work properly.....but nothing major.
