Hi there

Both are great cars.

But there is a LOOOOOOOONG wait for the 06 rx400h.

A dealer at Lexus of Manhattan told me that it is a one-year wait.
I do not know if he was lying or not, but that is what he said.

I am interested in the new GS430.

Good luck!

Agree with My GS (Donald), I'm sure both will be great cars. The decision really comes down to what need the new vehicle is intended to fufill. Since it's an RX thats being turned in, you might want the RX400 to continue using for that purpose. If you feel you no longer need or want an SUV, then the GS, ES or LS might be good choises to replace it with a sedan. I heard that Lexus was planning on offering to extend the term of current leases by up to a year for people who wanted the new RX400 when their lease was up in case there was a delay in availability of the new model.

RX400h would be a perfect replacement for the RX300. Personally, the 06 GS300 has zero appeal to me in terms of looks & hp.

I think it all depends what you are looking for? Since you have an RX, do you want to get another SUV? or go for a car? What are your intentions for trading in your RX?
I think both cars have their pros/cons. I would go for the GS for the Luxury Sports Sedan. Not into SUV's. but that's just my .02.

It's hard to say. Two different cars that meet different needs. What are you planning to do with the new vehicle? What needs are you expecting it to fulfill?

hard to say for me too. if anything i probably wold consider either the v8 model or the hybrid if its performance is good

but then the most important question for me is whether i would consider the GS by then

I think just wait and go for the RX400h. I have an RX300 also. My mom has a 2003 ES300 and when I drive it, it's very low and i can't see anything becuase i'm not use to it. In my opinion, go with the RX400h because once you drive somthing that is high and can see everything, you dont want to go back to those low cars because it's fustrating that you cant see anything. (I'm referring to height)

I must say that after driving the RX330 the new RX is alot better than our RX300, I have one too. I also have a GS300. Neo, rominl, and tod071 all have the right idea, what do you need the car to do.

Haul kids? RX

Long Drives? Nothing like a car GS

Long drives while hauling the kids? GS and ship your clothes before you leave LOL or the RX but you won't feel the same after a long drive in any SUV
