Default Question for those w/ LuxLink Alarm

I recently installed the Sense-O-Shock system from Luxury Motor Works. I tried testing the alarm by shaking the car, but alarm doesn't go off. I suppose this has something to do w/ the sensitivity setting? I want to make sure that the alarm is suppose to go off if I do his before I remove the glove box to get to the setting.

Another thing is I rolled down the window and turned the alarm on. If I reach in, open the lock and open the door, isn't the alarm suppose to go off?

Any help is appreciated.

Edit: I think this might need to get moved to the Security section.

umm.... something must be wrong man.

yeah you can try to adjust the sensitivity. what they did when installing was not to put back the glove box door assembly first, and adjust the sensitivity until it's good. to the point that if someone hit the car the alarm will go off. then they put eveytihng back for final testing

now if you open the windows, lock the car, reach in and unlock the door, the alarm should go off even with the stock setup. that feature shouldn't have anything to do with the luxlink setup at all?

Thanks for the confirmation. I'm gonna adjust the setting and see how it goes.

umm....... i don't know if you call that a "fix" to the "problem" when there is already a problem with your car? coz' from factory that should be the case. we tried it on rmmgs4's car and i tried it on mine as well. they both set off the alarm?

Someone should do a step by step writeup with pictures on how to install the sense o shock alarm. A lot of people got into the GB in the vendor section and I'm sure there's a good portion that would greatly benefit. Any takers??

Well..pics always help clarify alot of things put in words.

LMW installs these things quite often....so they just need to grab a digi cam and take some pics.....not too hard to do....and email or send pdf file to peeps who bought it....since posting up here may jeopardize their proprietary system.

Like Pete said, a better solution to this would be to contact LMW and ask them to send you closeup pics via email or postal.

What's up Fellas,
Just wondering if you guys were waiting for the alarm to set befor unlocking from inside. I think you have to wait 30 seconds after you lock the doors. You can tell if its set when the LED starts to blink/flash. Just my .02 cents. Hope it helps.

With the OEM alarm, if you do that I think the alarm would go off. In addition to that, the car will RE-lock itself within 1/2 second while the sirens are screaming.

Did you somehow disconnect the OEM alarm while you were installing the LMV alarm?
