Very cool setup! But just like Rominl mentioned I would be very concerned about vandalism and theft. Unless of course it is setup so that it can be taken off and snapped back on easily. Then that way, you can take it off whenever you are parked at a mall. That would be a nuisance though...........

the fact that anyone in Canada would have to worry bout theft concerns me, and living in NY that thing would be like placing a decal on your car that says BMW (Break My Window)

oh wait, that guy IS from NY

You think we are bunch of eskimos living in igloos here?

It's similar to placing a laptop on the front seat of your car in full view. What do you think will happen bro? .

Johnnie those wires you found are prolly the power wires for the radar or laser detecter that is mounted in the front of the car. When we install radars we hide the actual radar unit in the front fender so that may be why you have those wires under the hood.

what kind of radar detector you got on the car?

well they just designed it this way so they can use any normal phone line to supply all the necessary power for the unit. guess this was a smart move for them

awesome, then yeah, that's definitely for the v1 hardwire if you trace it you should be able to see the unit that convert from the power line to the phone line
