I am curious to hear how other members cars drive on 19 inch wheels. I just upgraded to 19 inch wheels a few days ago and started to notice al lot more road feel on the steering wheel. Is this normal? Should I go get the rims re balanced? What tire pressure should I keep in the tires? Thanks

the bigger the wheel the smaller the tire
the more road feel

I whent from 18's to 20's and i first had Nitto 555 tires and they where horrible
I now have Pirelli Pzero's and they are smooth as silk

Thumbs up nitto 555r

I have 20'' ridding on nitto 555r, very nice ride, but i think the first priority is to get a very accurate tire aligenment, and balancing. The best is to go to the Dealer and have them do it for you. It's worth every penny if it's a bit expansive.

Thumbs up dealer quality

Biggie, how could that be possible? because the SC430 itself is having 18'' wheel, they gotta be able to aligne it for you then. Funny thins is when I first call my dealer, They said they coudln't do the alignement for the 20'', and when I am about to do the L-tuned shocks and springs, suddenly they said oh we do plenty of 20''s ... haha sometimes dealer is a bit bloodsucking, but they do provide the best quality.

Has anyone experience the ride quality with 18"s and 19"s? Is there a big difference in ride quality?
It also sounds like the tires have a lot to do with ride quality. Are there any tires I should stay away from because they are too hard?

GSintensive, Biggie is right...

Because at Herrin Gear Lexus/Infiniti/Saturn/Chevy in Jackson they can't mount or align 18" either.... Our '98 Vette has 18" on the rear and they have us go to a particular Goodyear in town...

I'm assuming that the extra cost of equipment to get 18" units were not worth it at the time. There are not many cars(stock) in the line ups with 18"..... I'm not sure, but they don't do it...nor does MB or BMW...
