Default the famous headlight problem

has anyone here tried to take the headlights out,cleaned and then sealed. i think this shouldnt be too hard. just need to know exactly how to take the headlights out. i did some search but didnt get enough information. if u guys can help then i will be able to get rid of this dreadfull problem. i just dont understand where the water is getting into. i never would expect it from lexus.

if under warranty, have the dealer change them out due to condensation. if no warranty, you're out of luck. you can bake them and take apart but that's a lot of work and time.

try finding some used pair on ebay.

i dont have the warrenty so i will have to try to take the headlight apart but need help doing it.

Go to www.hidplanet.com and ask how to do it. These guys can open any headlight to do retrofit, so I am sure they can help You.

umm.... dunno, personally after seeing couple of pried open headlights, etc... i kinda wonder if the moisture is the result of not perfectly sealed headlights. if that's the case then it's very easy for lexus to fix, we wouldn't be seeing all this problem coming up again and again. i wonder if the problem is from behind?

As for taking a headlight apart, checkout the following website under the subject of cleaning an old headlight: http://www.cureline.net/lex/howtos.htm
They also have a lot of interesting info on cleaning upholstery, etc. Good luck.
