Hi Everyone,
I've tried doing a price search but I don't really come up with anything. Has anyone out there bought a 2005 GS lately?? Preferably the GS430.
I'm in Chicagoland and I priced one out on Lexus.com and it has the ML/Nav Package with the spoiler, 17inch chromes, wood steering wheel.
MSRP is at $54,724. Is $50,000 or below out of the question??
I know about edmunds.com but it's showing that like the avg price is like 200 under that. I don't feel like that could be right at all seeing as how the next GS is right around the corner.
So any input?? Thanks!

I doubt that they are going to take much off of the GS models as far as price is concerned. I know that in the area I am they still sell great and not too many are avaliable. Have 3 Lex dealers in about a 30 mile radius.

I just bought mine in September and paid less than $49k...so it can be done, my friend.
The only option it does not have are the chrome wheels, as I prefered the 17 inch alloys.
Good luck with your new purchase.

In theory you should be able to get a deal since the new model will be out soon. However, the problem is there are not too many new GS430's out there. I went to my local dealer and they don't even have one, just a few GS300's. If you do find one you won't have much selection, at least this is the case here.
I have heard that GS production has stopped, so there are no more of this style being made. Not sure if this is the case or not, but in any event there certainly are not a lot of GS430's around. It isn't like buying a Camry where there are tons to choose from in every color, options, etc.
You might look at used, for example right now in my area a guy is selling a loaded 04 with 6,000 miles for $42k. Add in no tax from a private party (in this state, anyway) and you have a nice savings.
Also, there seem to be a lot of low mile used GS430's around. Agian, in my area there are a few 2001's with anywhere from 18k-35k miles for about $30k or less. If you look around you can get a 430 with around 25k miles for a decent price. A lot of these cars were bought by retired people who drove them to church on Sunday and that is about it. Seems odd that they buy a GS, but apparently they do. If you are willing to look at used some of these cars are not a bad way to go, they are 4+ years old but in very good shape.
Best of luck and let everyone know what you come up with.
