I just sahved my fenders about a week ago. You can get an angle grinder or belt sander and sand the inside of the fender down. Both tools cost about 30 dollars each. I took the black rubber strip off and shave the inside lip of the fender down leaving about 5 mm left on it. I was able to put the black strip back on too. Just shave the strip down to match what you shaved off on the fender (you could leave the strip on while shaving so that you shave both at the same time). To put the black strip back on, I just replaced the two end screws holding it on, and then used some exterior heavy duty double-sided tape (the black or grey kind) for the middle of the black strip. Not sure if you read my thread, but my offset in the rear is 20x9.5 +25.

here is a pic of what mine look like before the strip was put back on.

well dude a 20x9 with a 255 is the problem i see. is you went down to a 245/35/20 you would b fine to lower it a little more. and if you get a thin design tire like the toyos than you be fine. i'm taking my car to a shop called Mad Mods in Ft. lauderdale next week to have the fendors shaved, i'll try to get them to take pics of the process.

Fender rolling is not your answer in the front, the 255 is too tall for even midly lowered cars, you are rubbing the liner of the wheelwell so drop to a 245 and problem solved.

Incorrect Indio! The 255 is actually the width of the tire, not the height.

245 and 255 have the same overall height basically, just 10 mm wider for the 255.

00, Just use the belt sander, sounds like a solid way to do it with barely any risk.

Yes that is the width but the 255 will be about 5mm taller. With 20s, we are already about an inch taller than stock. I know 5mm is not a lot but when we are talking about clearance, every mm counts.

Well very true, If you are very specific, 255/35 and 245/35, the aspect ratio changes slightly because of the increased width, but hey, you are right neo.
