Anybody try this before? My primary concern for tires are quiet, comfort and trendware. The stock Bridgestone RE030 is a piece of *****. These are $144 a piece at tirerack.

Also, any GOOD shop in SoCal (Pasadena area) to install tire and do alignment at the same time at GOOD price?

Thanks in advance!

Default AVS DB's are nice

Prost,

The Yokohama AVS DB's are nice. I set my friend with a set and couldn't believe the sound quality of the ride. Her car was running 245/40ZR18 and 275/35ZR18 for the rear. If you like to take high-speed corners and expect ultimate dry traction, these are not the tires to get. However for a comfortable ride these are excellent. Discount Tires in El Monte is very competitive.

Lightbulb to prost

P,

try Grand Prix Tire in Monterey Park. Fremont ave, off 10 freeway, not far from S. Pas. ask for CHRIS. tell him you are with club lexus and william from diamond bar( i talked to him last week reg. yoko avid h4 tyres for the c-class).

he often match tirerack prices. if not, order from the rack and take them to him for install, he has good machine, and does good alignment ~$60-4 wheels. just call and get a quote for the tyres. if you get the tyres from him, he would discount the alignment.

Default one more thing

P,

have you consider Bridgestone re730? several members use them for great traction, handling and very low noise.

About those Yokohoma DB's
I think I will buy a set soon, but besides being an exceptionally quiet tire, how do they absorb the bumps?
Also, can anyone post a pic of them? I am curious about the way they look. I once bought a set of Continentals for my SC and it made the whole car look awfull. They were dull ad faded and even though I stayed with the stock profile size, the continentals looked twice as tall as the michelins that I had on the car before.
thanks

I took my car to "Just Tire" for putting tires on the rims, installation, and alignment for under $100.
