MarkII would be my choice...

http://www.toyota.co.jp/Showroom/All...kII/index.html

The Chaser, while supporting the 2JZGE engine already, looks old.

But, they can also go with the Pronard which looks like a baby Celsior (LS430) as it already has the 1MZFE engine.

Only 0.02 worth, but something to think about.

yea but the Mark II's rear end is pretty ugly IMO, plus all the car mags would say it copied the mitsu galant (i think thats the one), even tho this cars already out in japan, they'd probobly be to stupid to realize that (unless they've changed for the good!)

I don't see any resemblances whatsoever that the Mark II copied Galant. The galant is pretty ugly and fat IMO, unless it's in VR-4 trim. Mark II has nice Altezza-style headlights (it's okay for Toyota to copy Toyota) and something like a 98~00 GS taillight with the center bar painted silver. DEFINITELY not copied from Galant.

I would just expect them to ship to the USA a new model version, with the steering wheel fliped...

I was driving about 35-40 down the 405 South near the 105 2 weeks ago and noticed a truck and auto trailer going the opposite directions. A few GSs, ESs, IS were on the truck. On the top rack, in the rear was another car, partially covered up.

Looked like something between a GS and a, grab your seats, a Mazda Millenia.... If it was the new ES, then picture something between the two styles.... guess we'll see, huh?

This is "version" of it in the US somewhere, but they wouldn't transport it in that crude method.

Default GS

If this prototype is the new GS, and most likely it isn't, i would be sad to see the quad headlights gone. I just hope Lexus isn't getting rid of quad headlight styling. Especially if the reason is because MB autos use it. Because in my opinion they really know how to incorporate quad headlighting iinto their vehicles (GS, SC, LX). I love it when Ford tries to do it, becuase the results aren't as nearly as good as with Lexus.
