Default frozen soda on car

i was at my girlfriends house tonight and left the car on her driveway. i was walking out to go home and saw something on the window. i first thought it was bird **** but then looked at it carefully. it was soda of some sort. i was so pissed. my girlfriend said that she heard some one on her driveway but thought it might be her brother. i cant believe that there are so many horrible people out there. can the soda distroy the paint if left. i cleaned as much now but it seems to be sticky

is it just the window or even the body?

if it's just the window, it's all good, just clean it. if it's the body, careful, it does have some oxidation power. i would try to use some warm water to wash them off, and wax the car asap

man that really sux.... but yeah, i know if you got water spot or bugs, you can use a bit of soda to take them off, that basically means they can oxidize stuff a little.... it's cold, but personally i would play safe, just remove the wax and stuff from that area and then wax again

Soda is acidic enough ( Coke etc. contains phosphoric acid FWIW) to possibly cause damage IF it's left for a protracted period of time. Combined with sunlight it can be even worse, but wax will give you a little extra time at least, and it isn't quite as acidic as even orange juice, so it's not exactly the kiss of death either.

Fast action on things like that always makes the difference. Sounds like you'll be ok.
