Default My ODO gauge is dimmer than the other two!!

about a week ago i notice that when i would adjust the lighting to the gauges my ODO gauge would act up but still match the other two... but now today when i was driving to church i notice my ODO gauge is way off in lighting compared to the other two...im still under warranty so i'll bring it in asap only have 4k miles left... BUT im worried because i did the alarm light LED mod (solder a different LED) and that adjustment **** for the gauges is on that chip board as well... maybe someone locally could switch me that piece and see if that fixes it.

Anything for a buddy who lent me his wheels, come by one day and we can see whats going on, and I can give you your stockers back, and you can bring over my spare.

I have a 2005 and mine is the same way...

At first I was like WTF, but I started thinking...since the speedo/odometer gauge is the one we check most often, maybe it's dimmer on purpose to be easier on the eyes.

I don't know...just throwin' some ideas out there.

There is a guy here that is changing the color and making it brighter, look around

I never noticed it before either...it happened last Wednesday during my 7 hour drive to visit my parents, but has not happened since on much shorter drives.

Maybe it has some kind of timer...don't know...I'll check again on the drive back home and let you guys know.

All three gauges light up the same for my car (Day or Night). However, I never noticed how dim the lights really are at night on my GS until I drove my wife's 2000 es300 for the past couple of weeks. Talk about a huge difference. I wish the GS did not have that annoying auto dim feature.

umm, if it lights up the same but after a while one of them dims down, i would tend to think one of them is going out or so... doesn't make much sense to me that there is a timer for just one of the guages (if not for all 3)?

i think one big difference is that on the gs, the WHOLE guage lights up. if it lights up the SAME intensity as that of the LS/ES/SC, i think that's like shotting 3 flash lights at you, i dno't think that's pleasant for driving?

on my sc430 the lights are much brighter and intense, but since it's just the needle and the numbers it's ok

Hope it's not going out, as the car is only 3 months old.
