I have been hearing a lot about dim gauge lighting, car not starting well, and stereo system running down battery.

So what is the best battery to get?

Something that would provide hours of listenting to loud music without having to turn the engine on. And preferrably a battery that is powerfull enough to handle all the auto's electronics, 3 LARGE LCD Screens, AND a full-fledged power-hogging computer.

Also something that will last more than just a year or two !

Any recommendations? I have heard something about a "yellow-top" battery?!?

optima yellow top is the best in the market especialy if you have some stereo equipment if not then just save yourself the money and get yourself a red top

yellow top $180

red top $150

but make sure you dont get the blue tops since they are strictly for marine use and are not meant to charge in short intervals like car batteries and they will get riuned

OPTIMA is a brand, and they have 3 diff color coded models.

Dennis,

get them from either summitracing.com, they only charge $6.95 for s+h, no tax. i think summitracing would be cheaper.

You can try DC Battery Specialists in Miami. I got my red top Optima for only $106. Contact Dave " the battery guy" at 305-759-4321 or sales@dcbattery.com
