Putting emblems back on after debadging question
Hi all, I am putting my car up for sale but I debadged it about 4 months ago and have been advised by a few people to put the badges back on as it will help the "common folk" with knowing what it is. So my question is how do I put the old emblems back on? I do not want to buy new ones as the old ones are in great condition. What type of glue or tape or whatever do I need to put these babies back on? Thanks for your help in advance.

It is really easy to do. Make sure that you cut it so that when you stick the emblem on you cant see any of the tape from behind the emblem. The stuff is really strong so you dont have to use a whole lot.

yeah but that tape, has to be cut down.....to the best of my knowledge they dont sell really skinny lettering tape that was double-sided
to spend time cutting it exactly the shape of the letter, i'd plunk down the $130 and get it on ebay new

Forget Home Depot, Do it Right
The tape at Home Depot is not the Automotive type. It is white and too thick. It looks really tacky if you use it, especially on a dark colored car, cause you will see this thick white thing along the edge and it will get dirty over time, yuk !
The 3M tape that is OEM grade is the one pictured below.
This is very thin, super sticky and black in color.
You can see the PN in the picture, so just go to any automotive paint supply store and they should have it. (These are the stores where body shops buy their paint and body shop materials, try the phone book)
Actually the one shown in the picture is for attaching body kits, roof spoilers, etc. This tape is 1/2 inch wide.
There is one in an identical package that is only 1/8 inch wide specifically made to (you guessed it) attach emblems. This tape is very flexible so it will curve around any emblem shape pretty easy.
I have some of this tape as well, but don't have time to look for the part number, but wherever you find the 1/2 inch tape, the 1/8 th inch tape will be nearby.
