Well, I would like to upgrade some more components of my ride, and since I'm getting some decent mileage (65K) on my car I won't feel like I'm throwing away brand new equipment.

I was curious which would last longer on average on my car, the exhaust or the suspension (shocks, springs). I have a feeling that the exhaust will go first, so I might as well replace that with the L-tuned exhaust. Although I think I would really like the handling difference from the L-tuned spings and shocks first...

Basically I'm looking for any excuse to throw away my money...

Exhaust. Borla carries "a million miles" warranty.

Exhaust will definitely last longer than suspension, especially if you get a stainless steel one. IMO from the cars I've owned.

Question

I believe what you are asking is of your original stock components which will go (bad) first therefore which should you replace/upgrade first.
Just a few personal thoughts.

I've worked on a few cars in the past and in my experience suspension wears noticably faster than exhaust. However (and maybe other members have thoughts on this) by tightening up your suspension you may cause other parts to wear sooner (but it will look and feel better)
Exhaust is a pretty easy swap plus you get slight increase in HP and anything that will make the car flow better is always good.

If you want to start slowly I would go with the exhaust then the suspension.

Good luck.

If I misread your question please disregard everything

it all depends on how you drive your car if you drive your car hard then you should probably change your suspension since it will wera out sooner than your exaust but if you just like to cruise and like to push it every once in a while then I would go with exaust for show asnd it gives you an awsome sound too

Even if you replaced just your stock shocks with new stock, you'd likely be surprised at the difference in handling. Given the mileage, your shocks are definitely not performing as they did when new. So I'd go with suspension replacement first. Your stock exhaust may outlive you; I had 8 yrs and 93k miles on my SC300 5 speed and exhasut still fine.

Don't forget steering ECU!!!!!!

Thanks for the advice guys. I was really leaning towards getting the shocks, and now I am going to do it. I like the thought that even if they are not broken, they are probably not performing as good as new... I like the rational, I can sell my wife on that!

I already have the steering ECU and I love it. Along with the shocks I think I will get the Ltuned badging too. And some day, Intake!
