Default Navigation buttons grayed out

Hey Guys,
Wanted to know if anyone has had a problem where the address, marked point, and most other buttons except home are grayed out even when in park. It's like it can't read the disc correctly or something. I have recently upgraded from 2000 ver1 to 2001 ver1. The software reprogram went flawlessly but I am still seeing this error. Please help! Thanks.

Sounds like during the hard drive swap a connector got dislodged making the car think it's always moving which would prevent you from entering an address, etc.

Seems like the saftey feature is on. By doing so, it prohibits use of new destinations while in motion. Just park for a few minutes with the key out of the ignition and Whalla!!!

had to unplug the navigation in the trunk for a few secs. The navi screen then displayed some update screen in Japenese (not the usual update screen) and since then it has worked flawlessly.
