I just changed the batteries like 1-2 months ago.

First it started off just not locking....then it was fine, Like it won't work at night time but when I start the car in the morning its fine...

Maybe it's time for a new key.

using the lock button from the driver side, can you lock/unlock the door? if no, then it's the actuators. if yes, it's something else

this happens to my gs sometimes... but i dont got the cash to get an acutator... what i do is put my key into the actual keyhole on the driver's side door and lock it manually... and then i take the key out and use the button to unlock it... the car usually responds and i can lock it with the button... i'm thinking of going to lexus or writing a letter to complain... a problem like this is unacceptable in such a fine and expensive vehicle...

Call me crazy, but unless you have a lot miles on your car, you should have warranty.

last quote for an actuator was around 210-230 at carson toyota just for the part. it look kinda hard to replace since you need small hands and a torx wrench.

If you are still under warranty, the dealer should cover the cost for replacement as was the case for me.

Does anyone that has replaced the battery, know any tricks to unlocking the screw to it? All my mini-screwdrivers to fit that started to bend when i tried to unlock it
