welcome to clublexus.... are you sure you don't have hid on your headlights? most of the gs400 have hid, but i know some don't. if you have hid, you need to upgrade hid bulbs to 6000k. if not, get halogen. and it's very easy, just look behind the headlights, very intuitive

for the exhaust note? umm.... just change the exhaust?

I have the OEM HID bulbs which I think they are 4300K, would it make a big difference in color if I was to get the 6000K bulbs for it?

i like the brightness of 4300k but the looks of 6000k. if you like more white light on the ground, get the 4300k.

Welcome to ClubLexus Will, you have soo much to learn Congrats on the new whip, that feeling stayed with me for like 6 months!!!

My advice is to STOP making purchases for your new baby for at least a couple months, spend a LOT OF TIME reading the pages of this forum, and don't be afraid to ask A THOUSAND QUESTIONS!!!!

Oh yeah, and tell your significant other that you're going to be broke for a while and not to expect any Valentine's Day, Birthday, or Christmas gifts!

Welcome to CL Will. Right off the bat I can honestly tell you that we have something in common.... Our first names. He he LOL.

Anyway, its funny you should be asking about upgrading the HID's in the car. I've been looking to do this for awhile. Surfing the net, I stumbled across Bimmian.Com. It's a BMW site, but they have a pretty good sale on the D2S bulbs for HID's for $129.00 for the pair. On the site it said that the bulbs have a 1 year warranty. Regular price is $169.00. I ordered a set to try on the GS. I figured if it doesn't work I can always stick them on the wifies 330i. I'll keep you guys posted on this when I get 'em in.

The D2S will not work in the GS headlights. You need D2R which are designed for reflectors. D2S are for projectors. You can notch out the base of the D2S to get the mto fit but it will have alot of glare and is not recomended
