i never know of anyone who's doing this for people here.... some of us do it as diy here though like rmmgs4.

but anyway, if you are just putting in hid kits, you don't need to take out your headlights?!

Talking headlight mod

I had actually started the project.... you could probably search and see the thread... Incuded the following..... blacked out the housing, cleared the yellow turn signal, replaced with a set of 8 white/amber LED's, and started the angel eye mod... That angel eye mod is the hardest ebcause of the design of the headlight housing... However, priorities, you know. The mod has been on the shelf. But I plan on getting back into it soon as I clear my schedule some.... I do plan on completing it and see if it something I can offer for our members....

The two mods are independent. To add a HID kit, you don't need to open up the headlights (which would mean removing the bumper and removing the headlight housings). You can always paint them later. The painting project would be much more time intensive.

Connecting a HID kit will take about 5-10 minutes. It may take longer if you are messing around with the placement of the ballasts.

Smile headlight mod

Yup... HID takes but a few mins to remove... I removed them from my car at the dealer before I turned my car in to get new headlights put in. I swapped to the 9006 halogens, because that is what the car had come equipped with and I did not want the techs messing with the kit or throwing it out thinking they were replacing that too..... of course that was a while ago... I am moving to retrofit my non HID 01 headlights with the Lexus OEM HID kit with D2R+ bulbs..
