Default Stock GS spoiler no longer available at Irontoad.com

Maybe this is not news to anyone, but in looking for an authentic Lexus spoiler for my 98 gs400 this is what I found. Too bad, because the price seemed right. I think the Lexus-parts piece is an aftermarket item, since it does not come with the 'brackets' everyone describes when they remove their stock spoiler. So, I just went for the spoilerdepot one - $200 bucks painted and shipped. Hard to go wrong (I hope)...

Nicknace- just fyo

I beleive spoiler depot makes replicas.Type www. l -tunedparts.com . You can't go wrong with the best deals and service on the web. Email gonzo4u@earthlink.net

But why not consider aftermarket alternatives- for around the same price. There are soo many.

Some of these are definitely not around the same price as $200 unless we have different definitions of "around".

The OEM ones are near the $1k+ mark the last time I checked (but this was awhile ago), but you get the idea.

Default Spoiler on Ebay

I just installed a new spoiler for my GS 430 I found on Ebay. Painted and shipped for less than $170.00. It was a quality piece and the paint matched perfectly. I was shocked at how good it looked for that price. Time will tell, but it looks like it will hold up.

Do your homework, guys. Many threads on aftermarket spoliers - not all positive, including for spoilerdepot. But pricewise they are good. They list two OEM style spoilers for the gs 3/400 - I e-mailed to ask the difference - they responded "there is none-order the cheaper one". So I did. The thing I like is of all the threads about them they accepted return on almost all - so if I don't like it I can return it. Not sure about the e-Bay guys, so for 30 extra bucks...

Exotictruck-auto, that is the Ebay seller. They are based in Florida and have lots of positive feedback. My personal experiece was good and as I said the product was better than I expected.

do you know how much is that one costs? I know I may sound weird, but I hate the stock spoiler on the GS400, I personally never like spoilers in that shape, I would love to have one like that or tight bit larger but in carbon fibre.

That is the sport design spoiler and like Neo said, it is around $1k for the spoiler. They do make some replica ones on ebay but not too sure on the quality.

Trimless,
Did your spoiler from Exotictruck-auto have a small flip/lip on it or was it flat?
I like the ones with the flip at the end.
